WOMENU REVISION HISTORY
3.2a
o When mapping a NetWare drive via the map menu right, if the
user is not already attached to the server in question, they
will be asked for their password to that server and then
WOmenu will attempt to attach them prior to performing any
mappings.
o You can now map up to three NetWare drives at once when
running a menu item. Each map right must be in its own set,
like, {a=...}{a=...}{a=...}.
3.3
o For NetWare networks only, we have added another menu right
that allows mapping a drive to an already attached server in
order to point to the program and run it. For instance, to
run MYPGM.EXE on server ACCTG, if the user was attached to
ACCTG in the login script, the {a=g~acctg/sys:\apps} will
provide a G drive mapping to the APPS root directory on
volume SYS. You could then call the program with this
command: G:\APPS\MYPGM. (Note that any previous G mapping,
if one exists, will be removed in the process.)
o WOmenu registered versions now depend upon a registration
number that is issued to the licensee who then enters it
into WOmenu via the registration instructions. Free updates
for registered users are now guaranteed for at least two
minor upgrades.
3.2b
o Fixed a big anomaly that prevented the use of the recently
instituted NetWare group rights feature. Our apologies for
allowing this anomaly to get out the door!
3.2a
o When setting up a program, there is now an option that lets
you run the program and then pick from a list of all running
Windows programs the correct Windows title for that program.
3.2
o WOmenu now knows NetWare! This means you may let the menu
system determine the user, server, and node address for menu
'rights' purposes. Users may also use the NetWare password
for their screen saver Out message function. The setup
function has been enhanced considerably because of this.
o A Windows installation procedure is now available.
o You can now copy, cut and paste menu items (even sub-menus)
from one sub-menu to the same of any other sub-menu.
o A new feature has been added that allows users to define and
use a messaged, password-protected screen saver when they
leave their desk. This feature can be turn on or off by the
administrator.
o The User Note length has been increased to 4096 characters.
o The optionally defined User Note now can also take menu
rights to determine which users actually see the note.
o The optionally defined Startup programs now can also take menu
rights to determine whether they will run or not depending
upon the user.
o Fixed a situation that caused WOmenu to lose track of sub-menu
items when renaming a sub-menu.
3.1b
o WOview (registered version) now has optional printing
capability.
3.1a
o Fixed a situation where the "Save window position" and "Change
font" functions did not actually take affect.
3.1
o You can now define up to five programs (and their command
lines) to run when WOmenu starts in User Mode as the Windows
shell program. This substitutes for the Program Manager's
Startup group. WOmenu still honors the WIN.INI 'load=' and
'run=' lines as well.
o Yo may now define an alternate help screen for your users from
the new Setp Mode. No more direct INI file management
required.
3.0a
o Now has a gray, NextStep type look.
3.0
o Completely revamped interface and engine. It now...
- Runs much faster than previously.
- Has a more straight-forward interface.
- Has complete INI setup built in with the menu's Setup Mode.
- Can have an unlimited number of menu items and sub-menus.
- Can save the menu window's size/position and menu font as a
default for your users.
- Has many small anomalies corrected.
- Has various features added/improved via user requests.
